Matt Smith
Matt has worked in the collaboration, knowledge management, and business process management space for over 7 years, initially architecting a knowledge management and customer support solution used extensively throughout New Zealand, and more recently leveraging SharePoint and related technologies as an application platform driving business value and improvement.
Matt started the Christchurch SharePoint User’s Group in late 2007, and is a vocal SharePoint champion and community leader. Matt believes in the value of community collaboration on SharePoint, as much as SharePoint itself can be used for collaboration in the enterprise and beyond.
Matt's other passions include productisation, process improvement, and in his spare time, writing and recording music. Matt blogs at http://blog.mattsmith.co.nz.
Gary PayneGary is consultant and developer in Small Steps Computing, a software development company in Christchurch. Having been involved in SharePoint projects since 2001, Gary has plenty of experience in shaping and extending the SharePoint product family to meet business needs, and continues to be impressed with the very wide range of capabilities of WSS3 and MOSS. He is particularly keen on helping small/medium businesses to recognise and utilise the strengths of WSS, whilst exploring ways in which large business can benefit from the breadth of Office SharePoint Server.
